Anxiety

Anxiety is a common human experience that many of us encounter from time to time. In our modern world, we’re often operating in environments that exacerbate worries, fears, and stress, and anxiety can be an appropriate response to the environment we live in.

So how do you know if you need to see a therapist or doctor about your anxiety?

If you’re anxious more often than not, if you find it difficult to control fears or worries, or if your anxiety is getting in the way of your work, school, relationships, or other important areas of your life, you may benefit from talking to a professional.

How I help.

I help individuals slow down, step back, and better understand the root cause of their anxiety. Each person’s experience is different, so I will listen with curiosity and compassion as we explore how anxiety shows up for you and where it may be stopping you from living your most fulfilling life.

I don’t view anxiety as something to conquer or destroy - rather, I see it as a signal letting you know that some adjustments are needed. Together we’ll explore what your anxiety is trying to bring to your attention, and how we can address the root cause. We’ll practice proven techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you address anxiety in the moment, as well as holistic changes you can make in your life to minimize the negative impact anxiety has on you moving forward.
