Couples & Relationships

As humans, we’re wired for connection, and the relationships we have with those close to us have a significant impact on our well-being.

If you’re in a romantic relationship and find yourself falling into the same negative cycle again and again…

If your friendships and relationships don’t feel satisfying and you’re not sure why…

If you worry that you can’t be your authentic self in relationships…

…then you may benefit from seeking professional support.

How I help.

I work with couples to slow down, step back, and gain a better understanding as to why they continue to fall into the same patterns again and again. I then work with couples on moving out of that negative cycle and relating in new ways that help both individuals feel safe and seen. I have advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), a therapy approach that is grounded in attachment theory and is backed by a substantial body of research demonstrating its effectiveness. You can learn more about EFT here.

I also work with individuals who feel unfulfilled in their relationships, whether that be with friends, family, colleagues, or romantic partners. Together we’ll explore where you’re feeling stuck in your relationships and start to uncover patterns or narratives that may be stopping you from relating more effectively. I use the therapeutic relationship itself as a tool to help build trust, communicate effectively, and practice creating new ways of relating to others.
